Uploaded documents are not kept

When you use Explain my document, your file or pasted text is sent to an AI service to create the explanation. We do not store the document after the explanation is generated. To prevent misuse, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your connection address and the time of use for a short period.

What each form collects

• Email updates sign-up: Email address, postcode (optional), your consent and when you gave it.
• Get help enquiry: Name, email, phone (optional), postcode, which topic your problem is about, document type (optional), your description, your consent and when you gave it.
• Sale-ready pack interest: Name, email, postcode, whether you are selling in the next 6 months, managing agent name (optional), your consent and when you gave it.
• Insurance for self-managed blocks interest: Name, email, role, block postcode, number of flats, building height band, whether you hold an EWS1 form, renewal month, your consent and when you gave it.
• Suggest a question: Your question, email (optional), your consent and when you gave it.
• Email me this explanation: Email address, the type of document and the written explanation (not the document itself), your consent and when you gave it.
